Accounts

Accounts let you and your customers receive payments, store funds, and send transfers. When you create an account, Gravv generates a wallet address and virtual account. You can receive funds into your account with both methods, and all transactions appear in the account balance.

Gravv organizes accounts into two main categories: internal accounts and external accounts.

Internal accounts

Internal accounts are accounts created within Gravv, either through the Create an account endpoint or from the Dashboard. They include main accounts for your business and customer accounts for your customers.

Main accounts

These are accounts associated with your business. You can open multiple main accounts to organize your business operations.

Main accounts include three types:

Regular accounts

Regular accounts handle everyday transactions, including payments, withdrawals, and deposits. They support unlimited transactions but don't earn interest.

Savings accounts

Savings accounts hold funds for longer periods. They earn interest but limit transaction frequency and require a minimum balance.

Card accounts

Card accounts back all virtual cards you issue to customers. Create one card account on your Dashboard before issuing any cards. This one-time setup uses the Polygon blockchain network and Lead Bank. The setup supports all customer cards you create.

Customer accounts

These are accounts you create for your customers after onboarding and verifying them using the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. All payments made or received by customers are reflected in their account balances.

Customer accounts can be either a regular account or a savings account. Use the Create an account endpoint to create one.

Regular accounts

Regular accounts handle everyday transactions such as payments, withdrawals, and deposits. They allow unlimited transactions but don't earn interest.

Savings accounts

Savings accounts store funds for longer periods and help users save money over time. They earn interest but limit transaction frequency and require a minimum balance.

External Accounts

External accounts are accounts outside Gravv, such as traditional bank accounts. You must add these accounts using the Add an external account endpoint before sending funds to them.

To transfer funds to External accounts, see External transfers and International transfers.

All Internal Accounts and External Accounts must be associated with a customer.
